{"id":273,"date":"2026-06-02T14:48:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T14:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fraudstop.be\/?page_id=273"},"modified":"2026-06-19T10:22:51","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T10:22:51","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fraudstop.be\/en\/over-ons\/","title":{"rendered":"About Febelfin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Febelfin is the Federation of the Belgian Financial Sector and represents the banks\nactive in Belgium.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a sector federation, we are the mouthpiece for banks and represent our members\nin contacts with policymakers, regulators, professional federations and interest\ngroups, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our mission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Febelfin defends the interests of its members and, together with them, is committed\nto a strong, resilient and inclusive financial sector that supports sustainable\neconomic growth and innovation as an essential partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our role in security and trust<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of Febelfin\u2019s key objectives is to strengthen trust in the financial sector. We do\nthis, among other things, by actively focusing on security, fraud prevention and data\nprotection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together with our members, we are committed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>preventing and combating (online) fraud,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>protecting customers and their data,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>raising awareness among consumers about risks and safe behaviour,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and supporting banks in their communication with (potential) victims.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By sharing knowledge, launching joint initiatives and developing clear guidelines, we\naim to ensure that the sector is not only safe, but also perceived by the wider public\nas reliable and committed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would you like to know more?
